Did you know that for all those who have to eat peanut free chocolate there is a new discovery for you? It has taken several years, but scientists have finally been able to develop a special peanut that does not contain the particular allergen in them that makes people ill. Dont believe it? Just ask the panel of allergy sufferers who ate those peanuts all without a hint of a reaction!
Up until pretty recently, it has been incredibly difficult to find everyones favorite chocolate with no trace of peanuts in it. The search may have previously consisted of making a ton of phone calls and traveling for miles to reach it. Thankfully thanks to the Internet, the peanut free chocolate is as close to us as our computer.
That isnt the only thing that is available online for those who have different allergies to foods such as nuts, eggs, soy, wheat, gluten or anything else. There are dozens of websites that offer everything from egg free pancakes to dairy free chocolate cake mix. If you have an allergy to walnuts and other tree nuts but love brownies, you can find brownie mix online that is delicious and nutritious that does not contain those offenders. If you have an intolerance to eggs, you will find hundreds of foods on the Internet that not only are not made with them, but are not processed in a facility that handles them, either.
As you may know, those who are allergic to certain foods have varying degrees of reactions if they consume one of those offending ingredients. Some may only experience a sour stomach, but if this is the only reaction, chances are pretty good that they actually are not allergic to the food. Instead, they probably have an intolerance to that food. Someone on the other hand who ingests a food and breaks out in hives and has trouble breathing would have an allergy. If the offending food was peanuts, they better start looking for peanut free chocolate!
In all seriousness, a true allergy can be life threatening, sometimes within minutes. There are some people who are so severely allergic that they have to carry epinephrine with them just in case they come in contact with the food that they are allergic to, and someone will have to quickly give them a shot of it. This type of terribly scary reaction is called anaphylaxis, and it can lead to shock, difficulty breathing and can even lead to death within minutes. If you are truly allergic to peanuts, make sure that you only eat peanut free chocolate.
