BAMMA have announced that their next card will be headlined by a super heavyweight contest between former Pride FC superstar Bob "The Beast" Sapp and British fighter Stav "Crazy Bear" Economou. The card is scheduled to be at the Metro Arena in Newcastle-upon-Tyne on 4th December 2010.
Bobb Sapp has a record of 11-6-1 and recently snapped a 3 fight losing streak with a forearm choke victory over Sascha Weinpolter. He had been on a bit of a slide of late, losing to Bobby Lashley and Sokoudjou who have themselves become known for losing badly in recent fights.
British Cypriot Economou has a record of 10-1-1 and will have a significant size disadvantage, Sapp weighs 340lbs (24 stone, 150kgs) whilst Economou comes in at 250�lb (18 stone, 110kgs). Although Stav has recently fought top Bellator heavyweight Neil Grove to a draw and with 7 KO's or TKO's on his record he will have the power to worry the Beast.
