Phil "The Best 'Eva!" Baroni has been forced to pull out of his UFC 118 prelim bout due to an injury to his collar bone. Baroni was due to meet John Salter in the bout, Salter coming off his TKO win over Jason MacDonald when the latter suffered a broken leg.
Baroni had strung together three straight wins since he dropped to welterweight but then dropped a fight to former UFC contender Joe Riggs in a Strikeforce. Despite that loss he was surprisingly invited to rejoin the UFC where he lost his first fight back to TUF winner Amir Sadollah.
Another opponent for Salter is being sought, whilst Baroni's UFC future could well be in the balance.mma fight
